A Question of Babial Gender

Braden directed me toward the ExpectNet online baby pool, and I'm just curious as to why out of 6 guesses, I am the only one who thinks Blakely is a boy? It's just a little unusual to see everyone guessing that.

I have to say, I was so convinced that Jenna was a boy, that when we found out she was a girl, I was completely shocked. This time around, I do think it's a boy, BUT I'm not as convinced. It obviously could go either way! :) I just wouldn't have pictured me with two girls right off the bat, especially since I've always been such a tomboy. We've got about 4 weeks to go until we find out, and I will say that I'll certainly be surprised if it's another girl. But Jenna is so freaking cool that I think I'll be able to handle the surprise better this time. :)

Here's why I picked a girl for you next:

I'm kind of hoping that I'm having a girl next. I thought it would be nice if Kennedy had a sister near in age to her. Since there's such a big gap between Amy and Kennedy.

And well, if I'm having a girl next, I want you to have a girl next too! That way Jenna and Kennedy can be friends and Blakely and Miller Baby can be friends too.

See, isn't that totally logical!?

Personally I see no evidence that Braden has any Y chromosomes to send.

Sure, it's "likely". But where is the proof, man, where is the proof??? :-)

Here's a late comment for you....

Now that I'm pregnant with my 5th baby I must say that I've never had any feelings either way about any baby I've been pregnant with. All the pregnancies have felt the same to me. And I didn't have any deep feelings if it was a boy or a girl.

I have a friend who has 5 sons. She is convinced that they'll never have a girl. In her case, I think it has more to do with their sexual habits. Yep, I'm being honest here. Of course I have no real idea about their sexual habits. But I do know that they are very, very busy and their kids stay up super late and have no schedule and often sleep with them. To be honest, I don't know when they can ever be alone to make babies! Which leads me to think that they must make love under the same conditions all the time. (What ever those conditions may be) And my theory is that those conditions always lead to higher Y sperm counts.

Just call me Dr. Carolyn. :-)
But I have read a lot about various ways to increase your chances of having more X or more Y sperm at particular times, therefore increasing your odds of having the gender you desire. Just google it. :-)
