The General Health and Well-being of the Young Child in My Abode

It's that time of year, folks! Jenna is sick. Again.

I suspected it yesterday, when she took a 2 1/2 hour nap (unprecedented!!), and even then *I* had to wake her up, because I was like, "Did my child expire in her crib??" Now, she's cough-y, snot-nosed, and her voice is getting more hoarse by the minute.

This means general, all-around crankiness. It also means that I am soon to have the same symptoms, since there's no way I can stop myself from being the recipient of wide open mouth kisses from my Jenna! In her defense, she's under the impression that "Kiss?" means open your mouth as wide as you can while bearing your fangs.

For some reason all babies kiss that way. Every baby that I have ever seen...ever...first learns to kiss with their mouths wide open. Maybe they think we're food. :-)

Sorry to hear that Miss Jenna is sick. Tell her that cousin Kennedy is also sick with a green snot cold. On top of that, Kennedy got two shots at the doctor yesterday. She was SUPER cranky then. Fun times. She wasn't nearly so bad today. But still snotty.
I too just welcome the cold germs. I figure I'm going to get it sooner or later. So I don't bother to stop it. I continue to kiss my kids and sometimes share food with them. Then when I feel the cold coming on I start popping those the Cold Eezes like no bodies business. :-) Those things are great man! So far I've nipped three winter colds right in the bud. Awesome!
